The device simulates cutting solid food by hand with a fork and scooping semi-solid and liquid food with a spoon, testing the force value and food hardness, consistency, stickiness and other indicators of each food category; it combines manual and instrumental analysis to establish automatic determination of eligibility and food classification.
Grading specifications such as easy chewing, gum chewing, tongue crushing, and no chewing required can also be evaluated.
